For those travelling to Paris to root on the US, Canada or your home country’s teams, we wish you good luck and safe travels. Sports tourism, the intersection of travel and athletic pursuits, has experienced explosive growth in recent years. From mega-events like the Olympics and FIFA World Cup to niche sports and recreational activities, the allure of combining passion for sports with exploration has captured the hearts and wallets of millions. 

 

Sports tourism generates 10% of the world’s expenditure on tourism and is one of the fastest-growing sectors in the travel industry, estimated to have a growth rate of 17.5% between 2023-2030, according to the United Nations World Tourism Organization.

Several factors contribute to the surge in sports tourism:
