Overview

The Knox Softball Field features a state-of-the-art sprinkler and drainage system. Dedicated to the sport of softball, the outfield fence measures 200 feet from home plate.

In the summer of 2012, the infield dirt was totally replaced with over 45 tons of sand and 28 tons of new clay topdressing.The dirt was then laser leveled to create an even better playing surface. New drain tile was also added around the perimeter of the field, which along with the pre-existing irrigation system has made the field playable within hours of the heaviest rainfall.
