Overview
The Berea College Baseball Field is located at the Sports Complex and is home to Mountaineer baseball. Field dimensions are 315' down the left field line, 320' down the right field line and 400' to center field. The infield grass is a mixture of Kentucky bluegrass overseeded with some rye. The outfield is a fescue blend. The infield surface is a mixture of sand, clay and silt. The facility features an underground dugout design and a Musco lighting system for evening practices and play. A Rain Bird irrigation system allows our grounds crew to maintain the field in great playing condition throughout the season. During inclement weather, a full-infield tarp is available. The baseball field was completely renovated prior to the 2004 season. In the summer of 2016 locker rooms for home and visiting teams, a changing space for umpires and a satellite training room were added.
