Welcome to the Thompson Recreation and Athletic Centre (TRAC), featuring, among its various amenities, a NHL-size rink with a capacity of 3 615. We are conveniently located at the south end of the beautiful campus of Western University in London, Ontario. Situated at the northeast side of Western Rd. at Sarnia Rd., TRAC is the home of the Western Mustangs hockey, figure skating and track teams. The facility is mainly used for year-round ice activities; however, a 200 metre mondo track is also available for recreational jogging, track and field meets, tennis, baseball and field hockey practices.
TRAC is also home for numerous Campus Recreation teams as well as community figure skating, youth hockey, track & field, baseball and soccer organizations. Check the related links for more information.
We are also proud to have hosted many championship events including local high school hockey, international in-line hockey, Canadian curling events and NHL Old-timers' games, to mention just a few.
In addition, TRAC is more than just an arena. The TRAC facilities can easily be converted to accommodate large tradeshows and banquets, convocation assemblies, concerts and other live entertainment shows. We've even hosted a "wedding on ice" - ceremony and all!
From casual spectator to sports enthusiast to proud alumni, TRAC is a true multi-purpose arena with something for everyone.
