Ice Arena
Hamilton Ice Arena is a multi-purpose facility that through the fall and winter serves as the home to the Recreation Department’s Youth Hockey Program, Learn to Skate, Rocky River High School & Avon Lake High School Hockey programs as well as a variety of informal groups and rentals. During the warmer months, the ice is removed and the facility is used for home base to the department’s nine week summer camp program as well as a location for a variety of indoor sporting activities.
Hamilton Ice Arena has four standard team locker rooms, a coaches/referee space as well as a cozy pavilion with a fireplace and a concession operation that is open during larger events and games. With seating for nearly 800, there isn’t a bad seat in the house to see any of the action on the ice!

The last Friday Night Skate will be Friday, March 29, 2024. This will also be the last friday after school skate.
Open skates on saturdays and sundays from 2:00-4:00pm will continue through April 28, 2024.

Passes are now on sale! Passes are available for purchase in person only at the Civic Center Welcome Desk or at Hamilton Ice Arena. Passes are for Civic Center Members and/or Rocky River residents.
An unlimited skate rental pass is also available for $75 per person.
The staff at Hamilton Ice Arena is also equipped to assist in skate sharpening & offer skate rental for those in need! Skates may be required to be left overnight and are charged at $6.00 per sharpening.
