Fairfax, Virginia, April 19, 2024 — It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we inform you that Edwin Berry Weisiger, one of the owners of Fairfax Ice Arena, our colleague and dear friend, passed away unexpectedly on April 6, 2024.
Known to many as Berry, he spearheaded the Fairfax Hockey League, the first multi-level adult hockey league in Virginia 40 years ago. He earned his bachelor’s degree from George Washington University.
On Monday, May 27, there will be NO GROUP LESSON held, and
there will be one holiday public skate at 11:15 AM–1:15 PM. Holiday admission rate applies.

Fairfax Ice Arena and its Pro Shop will be closed for maintenance on Monday, August 19 through Saturday, August 24. For safety reasons, only scheduled staff will be allowed to enter inside the facility on August 19-24.
The Pro Shop will not be taking appointments and walk-ins, and customers will not be able to pick-up and drop-off of skates during the shutdown on August 19-24 so please plan accordingly.
We will re-open on Sunday, August 25.

Planning your summer camp or summer school activity? Come out and skate! Camps and schools with 15 or more people can reserve the Summer Group public admission rate of $4 per person, from June 1 - August 31, during our Monday–Friday public skating hours. Skate rental is an additional $4 per person.

Week 1 Dates: June 24–28, 12:30 PM - 5:30 PM
Week 2 Dates: July 8–12, 12:30 PM - 5:30 PM
Week 3 Dates: July 22–26, 12:30 PM - 5:30 PM
Price (each week, per person): $410
Prerequisite: Skater must be 4-13 years old during the camp dates; in beginner to Freestyle 3 skate level.
The camp includes on-ice practice, on-ice instruction, supervision, skate and helmet rental during camp, T-shirt and lunch. Choose from the 3 dates we are offering. Your skater can do one or all skating camps. Space is limited.

Let your skater experience what its like to skate a program and take part in an ice show. Skaters will learn choreography, showmanship, great sportsmanship and teamwork. Fairfax Ice Arena offers two summer ice shows. The first one will be for the Rock N' Roll Extravaganza and Kids Magical Movie Moments participants with a recital on August 7. The second ice show will be for the I.S.I. Summer Skating Camp participants with a recital on August 17.
