The Reuben Bud Bakewell or “Riverside” Ice Rink as it is commonly referred to, is a single pad rink located in North-West Buffalo, New York on the shores of the Niagara River. The facility is owned by the City of Buffalo and currently being operated by Hasek’s Heroes a local not-for-profit youth hockey organization dedicated to providing a hockey experience at no cost to its participants. Several other local hockey organizations call Riverside Rink home such as the Power City Bruins, City Honors - Cardinal O’Hara High School, and Buffalo Speedskating Club.
