The 2023 season marks the 41st year that the ULM baseball team will call  Lou St. Amant Field (The Lou) home.

Warhawk Field has been friendly to the home team as the Warhawks have posted a 500-288-1 (.634) mark in the facility since its inception in 1983.

ULM has won at least 15 home games 23 times in the 30 years playing at Warhawk Field and have given the home fans 20 victories nine times.

In fact, in its 30-year history, Warhawk Field has witnessed just five seasons of losing records and just two since 1994.

The in-state rivalry between ULM and UL-Lafayette brought 5,956 fans to Warhawk Field for in 2012 to set a new three-game series attendance record.  It broke the previous mark of 5,738 set in 2007 when ULM hosted UL-Lafayette.

Warhawk Field is one of the most unique baseball facilities in the country making games at ULM fun for the entire family.

To enhance the baseball atmosphere, the field is surrounded by a three-foot high brick wall, allowing fans a clear view of the game from field level.

The field is illuminated by eight lighting banks, allowing for night baseball in the cool Louisiana evenings.

With picnic and tailgate areas for fans, as well as a children's playground built prior to the 2008 season, gamedays at Warhawk Field provide a family friendly baseball atmosphere.

The complex hosts the offices of the ULM baseball staff. The 1,800-seat structure also features indoor and outdoor batting cages, an indoor pitching mound and its own training facilities.

The stadium went through renovations prior to the 2011 season. The Warhawks locker room was remodeled with new lockers, flooring, expanded floor space and audio/visual improvements. In addition, the Warhawk Field Press Box also received a face lift.

In the 2001 season, ULM set a single-season attendance record when 25,008 fans came through the turnstiles at Warhawk Field. That year marked the first of three consecutive seasons in which ULM drew over 22,000 fans

The stadium has exceeded capacity on seven different occasions, highlighted by a matchup against LSU on April 26, 2001, when 4,635 fans squeezed into the stands. In 2009, 3,673 fans watched ULM beat Mississippi State 7-1.

The combination of facilities, atmosphere and fan activity make Warhawk Field one of the nation's best venues to watch a collegiate baseball game.
