College Stadium

Geneseo's College Stadium is on the west edge of campus, adjacent to athletic facilities in Merritt Fieldhouse and Schrader Hall at left.

The west field (foreground) includes bleacher seating and a press box. The field has turf, field marking and lighting that is identical to the west field.

The press box facilities includes the RAA Suite, two individual viewing suites and a Game Operations room.

The RAA Suite, at the south end of the press box, features indoor viewing of both fields.

The building at the south end of the stadium complex includes four team rooms complete with bathroom and shower facilities. In order to accommodate larger squads, doors between the rooms can be opened to create two large rooms.

The building which houses the team rooms also has a fully-equipped training room, convenient for use during both games and practices.

The Myrtle A. Merritt Athletic Center

The Merritt Athletic Center is home to the Ira S. Wilson Ice Arena, Louise Kuhl Gymnasium, Alumni Pool, the fitness center, squash courts and the offices of the athletic department staff.

Ira S. Wilson Rink

The 2,100 capacity Wilson Ice Arena is home to the men's ice hockey team. The rink was renamed the Paul Duffy Rink in 2022, with bleacher renovations occuring in 2021 along with the edition of a video board.

Carl Schrader Gymnasium 

The Carl Schrader Gymnasium is the home to the women's volleyball and men's and women's basketball teams. The gym opened for competition in the fall of 2006 and has a capacity of 1,000 spectators, and underwent renovations to the gym floor in 2023.

Varsity Weight Room

Located in Schrader Hall, the varsity weight room underwent extensive renovations in 2023 thanks to alumni donations. Home to strength and conditioning development of all Geneseo student-athletes, the space contains branded turf, free weights, squat racks, weight benches, and more! Alumni Pool

The Alumni pool houses the men's and women's swimming & diving teams. With a six-lane capacity and its own diving well, the facility is used for all home intercollegiate meets along with high school sectionals and community recreation time.

Student-Athlete Resource Center


The SUNY Geneseo department of athletics unveiled its brand new Student-Athlete Resource Center at a ribbon cutting ceremony on Tuesday, May 2. The ceremony was highlighted by brief remarks from Geneseo's President, Dr. Denise A Battles, Associate Director of Athletics, Jess Seren,  Assistant Dean of Students for Leadership and Service, Nichoas Palumbo, and the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee President, Emily Haber.

Supporting the mental health and wellness of student-athletes is crucial to their success at Geneseo, and the Student-Athlete Resource Center is an important step in providing the resources and environment that they need. The Student-Athlete Resource Center is a space for all student-athletes to recharge, refuel, grab a quick study break, and much more around their busy schedules. The room features branded leather furniture, branded coffee tables, charging stations, food, drinks, and more! 

Louise Kuhl Gymnasium

Kuhl Gymnasium

The Louise Kuhl Gymnasium is Geneseo's recreational and special event facility. With three full-length basketball courts, multi-purpose flooring and a capacity of 3,000, the facility was renovated in 2020 has regularly played host to Section V volleyball and basketball championships along with all intramurals and recreational activities.

In 2019, thanks in large part to funds secured by the Roundtable Athletic Association (RAA), Geneseo opened its Athletics Film Room. The room features stadium seating for 42 individuals as well as a massive 80-inch smart television among its amenities that will serve all 21 intercollegiate programs and its 450 student-athletes. Located on the first floor of the Schrader Athletic Building, the space will provide a place for teams to meet as well as conduct video review sessions.  

Workout Center

The Workout Center has multiple spaces for student and faculty use. For a reasonable membership fee, the center provides stairmaster and treadmills, two nautilus circuits, and extensive free weights in one area with elliptical and rowing machines and stationary bikes in the aerobics room.

Outdoor Facilities

After a renovation in 2019 that included new home and visitor dugouts, Vic Raschi Softball Field is home to 
the Geneseo Softball team. 

With eight tennis courts, the Geneseo Tennis Complex is the perfect site for the Women's Tennis team as well as
several intramural activities and club sport gatherings.

Geneseo Track

One of several large, open outdoor spaces, Saratoga Field used to hold Geneseo men's and women's lacrosse games before the construction of College Stadium.
It now serves as one of many excellent spaces for outdoor recreation, club or intramural activity.

Leg Up Stables 

Located on Avon Rd. in Geneseo, Leg Up Stables is home to the women's equestrian team. The 300-acre farm has more than
70 horses and a barn used for training and shows.
