The Splash Pad is closed for the season.

It’s one, two, three strikes and you are out at the old ballpark! Ray Ross Park is home to year-round sports fields and basketball courts, a free baseball-themed splash pad, a playground and two park shelters with grills.

Bathrooms

Permanent bathrooms at Ray Ross Park are open for the 2024 season.

Splash Pad Rules

Important: Do not block or fill splash pad drains, and do not remove water. This causes overheating and may result in splash pad closure.

There is no lifeguard on duty, please watch your children.
Children age 6 and under must be supervised at all times.
All children who are not potty trained should wear a swim diaper while playing on the splash pad.
Please refrain from sticking foreign objects in the spray jets or blocking the drains on the splash pad-this may cause the park to shut down unexpectedly.
No food or drink on the splash pad.
Absolutely no glass containers.
Please no bikes, skateboards, roller skates, etc. on the splash pad.
No animals allowed on the splash pad at any time.
Please seek shelter in cases of thunder and lightning.
Picnic table/shelter is first-come, first-served. There are no reservations.

No hay salvavidas en turno , por favor cuidar a sus hijos.
Ninos menores de 6 anos tienen que estar supervisado todo el tiempo.
Todo nino que no este entrenado para ir al bano, necesita usar un panal de natacion especial todo el tiempo que juegue en el parque acuatico.
Por favor de no poner ninguna clase de objetos en los chorros de agua, o no tapar el drenaje por que puede causar que el parque se apage por completo.
No comida ni bebidas en el parque acuatico.
Absolutamente no frascos de vidrio.
No bicicletas, patinetas, patines ect.. en el parque acuatico.
Ningun tipo de animales es permitido en el parque acuatico.
Por favor busque refugio en caso de relampagos, truenos y rayos.
Las mesas y el refugio esta disponible al que llegue primero. No se pueden reservar.

Looking for a way to cool off in the summer? Look no further than Ray Ross Park! Designed to look like a baseball diamond, this splash pad offers interactive water features suitable for kids of all ages.

Weather permitting, the spray park is open each summer. Important: Do not block or fill drains or remove water from the splash pad. This causes overheating and may result in closure.

Park shelters

Important: Shelters are NOT available for rentals or exclusive use. Do not block off shelters for private parties.

A new park shelter was built in summer 2020, now giving the park two shelters.

Both shelters are located on the west side of the park, next to the playground and splash pad. The first shelter has eight tables and two grills, the second shelter (built in 2020) has six tables and three grills. These shelters are not available for exclusive use (not rentable) and are open to the public during park hours.

Permanent restrooms are located by the concession and ball fields on the east side of the parking lot and are open approximately April 15 to October 15, weather permitting. Port-a-lets are located near the shelters and playground.

Athletic fields

The park is home to 3 baseball/softball fields, 3 soccer/football fields and basketball courts. If you are interested in renting the fields, view the dropdown below for details.

Ray Ross Park Field Rental Information

Ray Ross Park has three baseball/softball fields with lights and two football/soccer fields with lights available for rent. View fields diagram(PDF, 127KB).

Field permits are issued under the following guidelines:

Permit requests require a two hour minimum requirement.
Full payment is due before a permit will be issued.
Make sure to review the field reservation information and policies.
All permit requests are final. Refunds will only be issued if the City of Lakewood closes fields due to weather and/or field maintenance issues.
