Welcome to the New Evolution.

Evolution Baseball and Softball is an 8100 square ft facility located in Wyomissing, PA. It offers up to 8 cages, 4 pitching tunnels and is now equipped with a gym area with a Certified Personal Trainer.

Evolution was started over 10 years ago by Scott Emerich at the old Playball facility. It began with just youth clinics where we would work with young players who loved the game. Now those once 7-8 year old kids are in college, graduated and even coaching with us teaching the next generation. As the idea grew with the help of his friend and now partner, Zach Shirk, we have now moved into our new 8100 square foot facility in Wyomissing, PA.

Zach and Scott both went to Kutztown University with the goals of becoming teachers, They use many of the methods taught there to help develop their personalized workout plans for the players. Evo works with players ages 7 through college. Each player is unique in their abilities, strengths and weaknesses, but if the players really enjoy the game, we have the programs that can help prepare them for their next level whatever that maybe. Scott Emerich was a 2nd team All American and 3 time National Champion and Zach won a World Championship and All Worlds Fastpitch player.

Dalton Emerich with Evo Athletics has helped fill a need by many players to get stronger, quicker, and more explosive in a sport where explosiveness is needed. He recently graduated from Misericordia University. Dalton played for their Nationally Ranked baseball team where he was part of 4 Championships, 2 Regional Championship and 1 World Series appearance.

All of our coaches design each lesson to build a strong foundation but then track their progress each week to make sure they are continuing to be challenged. Physical talent is obviously a huge asset in all sports but we are also able to develop the mental side of the game, overcoming failures, build strong work habits, and helping to develop confidence in the abilities. Confidence is key in so many things even outside of sports.

Sports is so much more than winning and losing on the field. It teaches tremendous life lessons. Players learn about struggles and failures but also the pride in winning and overcoming obstacles. it also provides the opportunity to learn the importance of not giving up on yourself or your team. It teach commitment, teamwork and sportsmanship along with leadership skills. At Evolution we want to be part of this journey, helping these young players fall in love with not only the game, but the process.
