Experience the ultimate hockey development at the Whistler Snipers program, held at the Meadow Park Sports Centre from August 7 to 11. This comprehensive program offers 1.5 hours of on-ice skill development each morning, focusing on specialized power skating and the innovative K-Vision Reflection Program for cutting-edge vision training.
Master the fundamentals of forward and backward stride, agility, and edge work using both edges. Learn effective techniques for attacking the net, developing quick starts and powerful strides, and achieving better balance through upper body utilization. Boost your power with parachute training.
Sharpen your goal-scoring abilities by developing stick speed, one-time shots, and off-balance shots. Learn the art of decision-making, knowing when to shoot and when to deke. Develop proficiency in all types of shots, including wrist shots, pull-snaps, backhands, slap shots, and deking techniques to outsmart the goalie. Enhance your positioning for goal-scoring opportunities and excel in point shots and tip-ins.
Refine your puck control skills with stick fakes and quick stick handling. Discover the art of finding open ice, utilizing your feet as part of puck control, and executing the "curl and drag" skill with your stick. Harness the power of peripheral vision and master K-Vision for precise puck control and passing in chaotic situations. Develop puck control while skating backward and executing seamless pivots.
In addition to on-ice training, the program includes 1 hour of dry-land conditioning and training, as well as 1 hour of intense 4 vs 4 scrimmage during the week-long tournament.
